1- What was your first impression.

WordPress has everything from simple websites, to blogs, to complex portals and enterprise websites, and even applications, they are all built with WordPress. This website combines simplicity for users and publishers with under-the-hood complexity for developers. This makes it flexible while still being easy-to-use.

2- General overview of the product and what it does

On this site you can download and install a software script called WordPress. To do this you need a web host who meets the minimum requirements and a little time. WordPress is completely customizable and can be used for almost anything. There is also a service called WordPress.com which lets you get started with a new and free WordPress-based blog in seconds.

3- What does it do for the field of educational technology (how does it contribute to teaching and learning).

WordPress started as just a blogging system, but has evolved to be used as full content management system that can be used in teaching, education, and so much more through the thousands of plugins and widgets and themes, WordPress is limited only by your imagination.

4- If reviewing a website (portal or web 2.0) make sure you discuss usability and navigation

The usability and navigation is very easy and simple where everybody can find his way around.

5- Include an image of the website/product (make sure it is not to big)

Create a link to either the website or main product line)

Provide a break down
    1. The Good:  Simplicity makes it possible for you to get online and get publishing, quickly. Nothing should get in the way of you getting your website up and your content out there
    2. The Bad: WordPress comes bundled with two default themes, I think it would be better if there were more default themes to choose from.
    3. The Bottom Line: WordPress has always been easy to install and upgrade and you can create any type of website you want.
    1. Give it a rating from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent): 4.5
